Because therapy centres deserve better than Excel, WhatsApp and “jugaad”
Why we built Theraflow, therapy centre software built in India, and why it costs money. Written for centre owners deciding whether it is worth it.
Theraflow is not affordable for every centre
We know that. Even at ₹2,999 a month, for a small centre this is someone's salary, the electricity bill or a therapist's incentive.
We built it anyway, because we think something else costs more.
Chaos.
The problem sits around the therapy room, not in it
Therapists, owners and parents all cared and worked hard. Around the therapy sat one Excel sheet for appointments, another for packages, WhatsApp groups for parents, paper files for notes and manual billing. And the same messages, every day:
“Did the child attend today?”
“How many sessions are left?”
“What did the therapist work on last week?”
“How much revenue did we make this month?”
When a therapist went on leave, someone dug through old notes and WhatsApp messages to work out what was happening. The systems were never built for how therapy centres work.
Therapy centres are complex businesses disguised as simple calendars
A child may have speech therapy on Monday, OT on Tuesday, behavioural therapy on Wednesday and special education on Thursday. Around that sit goals, session notes, home activities, packages, missed sessions and parents who want to see progress.
Generic clinic software is an appointment calendar with a patient database attached. We built Theraflow for therapy centres from the start, not adapted from hospital software.
What it changes for each person in the centre
Therapists open a session and see the notes, goals and what the last therapist worked on. A substitute never walks in blind, and continuity does not depend on someone's memory.
Parents see what their child worked on, what changed and what to do at home, through progress updates, weekly summaries and reminders. Therapy does not end when the 45-minute session ends.
Owners open a dashboard and see sessions this month, expiring packages, unbilled sessions and revenue, without anyone spending three hours on a report.
Yes, you can do all of this with Excel
You probably already are, and it got thousands of businesses this far. But once Excel is the system holding everything together, one changed formula, one forgotten update or one buried WhatsApp message costs a session or a package.
A “free” tool is paid for with someone's time. Usually a lot of it.
Why Theraflow is not free
Good software costs money to build, secure, back up and support. We do not want to be free today and gone tomorrow; your patients' records are too important for that.
We also do not want pricing to punish growth. One system, everything you need, no add-ons to buy and no feature walls. Your centre growing should be good news.
Therapy centre software built in India
Most software is priced for markets where budgets look nothing like an Indian therapy centre's. We know the 3-therapist centre, the founder who is also the therapist and the owner checking the WhatsApp group at 10 PM.
“Is this really worth ₹9,999 a month?”
That question is fair. It is why a three-therapist centre now starts at ₹2,999 rather than the price a twenty-therapist centre pays.
We are early, and we want to hear what is missing
There are things you will want that we have not built yet, and there will be bugs. When you ask why Theraflow does not do something yet, tell us. Some of its best parts will come from the owners and therapists who use it every day.
What does the problem cost you today?
If Theraflow is not affordable for your centre today, we understand. Before deciding, count what the current way costs: missed sessions, expired packages, unbilled sessions, no-shows, poor handovers and decisions made without real numbers.
Sometimes the most expensive software is the one you do not have.
We want to help you build a better centre, which matters more to us than selling you software
A centre where therapists have context, parents feel connected and owners can see what is working, while the software does its job in the background.
